A June of Transition

So it's been a while... as in, months, since I last made a post. There's a reason for that. Way back in May we got ourselves into a bind with the sale of one house and the purchase of a new one which ultimately left us with a massive amount of work to do. We bought a foreclosure that needed a pretty serious renovation, so while I stuck around and did the demo work, Becky and the boys went to Montana for a short while. But between all the work, we still managed to do a ton of driving this summer and saw a lot of familiar faces. I'll start off with the house though... here's where it all started...

We emptied out the old house... among all the stress of moving was the bittersweet feeling of saying goodbye to the first home we ever owned. A lot went on within the walls of this house, a lot of growing for these three...

And how they were back in 2013 after we first moved in...

Unfortunately they got bigger, and that meant we needed more space. So we went out and got more space... lots of dirty, outdated, disgusting space...

Ready for action...

Still a long way to go... but we're getting there one can of paint, one box of screws, and a lot of sweat and curse words at a time... I'll post some more as we move along!

Another Nine Year Old

It's way over-due, but we've been a bit busy the last month or so. Adam turned the big nine years old in April! Unbelievable. He's doing awesome in school, finished up 3rd grade just the other day and rocked out with a ton of awards at the last award ceremony. He's still in Scouts, playing baseball like a champ, and driving his brothers and mother crazy as often as he can. We love this kid to death...

Happy Birthday Adam Michael!

Cousins Back for More!

The Clayburn girls are making it somewhat of a tradition to come down with their grandmother every April, and this year Lexi came along for the first time in a very long time. They did all the usual things of course, hit the beach, hit the Windfest activities, and otherwise had a great time.

Arrival at CRP.

Brooke getting older by the minute...

Lexi tagged along for the trip south!

"The World's Largest Bounce House"... not sure about that, but they had fun.

And got just a little sweaty...

Kickin' it in the cheap seats at Whataburger Field.

Paul not amused with his custom pancake.

There's a reason they call it Sunset Lake.

Stopped at the Aquarium, of course.

Gotta ride the rides at the annual Windfest celebration.

Didn't make it 100 seconds. Barely made it 10 seconds. Guy took a lot of people's money that night.
