The Cousins

Our trip to Montana primarily consisted of trying to wrangle these 11 children. With the oldest being only 11, that makes for a large group of over-energized little people. The hardest part was just making sure we didn't lose one or let one slip out the gate. Thankfully, there were plenty of adults around and the yard was fenced. Either way, they all seemed to have a blast together. Here they are:

Never easy to get all 11 looking and smiling in the same direction...

Another Summer in Montana

Becky and the boys have made a tradition of traveling back home to Montana for summer vacation, but this time I actually got to tag along! It was an Unbehend family reunion of sorts, so I didn't want to miss out. It was the first time all of the cousins have been together at once (at least this current updated version of the cousins). There are a lot of them. It was a mad-house at times. Non-stop action, non-stop shenanigans, but non-stop good times! It was a vacation to remember, and we will for a long time. Here are the first set of photos - just hanging out in the summer sun:

Back to the Beach!

Rockport was hit the hardest by Hurricane Harvey last fall, as the eye of the storm went right through town. In years past, we've taken quite a few trips up to the beach park, but we hadn't been back since the hurricane hit. I'd been through Rockport and seen the damage a few times, but thankfully they've been able to piece most of it back together now that it's almost a year later. The beach park looked pretty good. They replaced all the tiki umbrellas, and other than the missing crab sculpture, everything looked as it had before. This summer has been surprisingly mild so far, so it was an excellent day at the beach!
