Pickin' Pumpkins!

Becky found a pumpkin patch out on St. Simons, so we stopped in and picked a couple out.  Halloween is already just around the corner, which only means it will be the holiday season before we know it.  But for now, we’re enjoying Fall… even if it feels far too warm to actually be Fall.

Adam will take... uh, this one!

That one is a little too big, Paul.  Better get one more your size.

Next up, costumes, candy, and that whole trick-or-treat thing.  Another fun fall for the Sellers boys!

The beach life...

Of course we had to take Nolan to Jacksonville Beach.  You can’t waste any time getting to the ocean, and the sand and waves are fun for people of all ages… even one-week-olds!  I don’t think he’ll remember it though, since he spent the entire time asleep.  But oh well, the rest of us enjoyed it.  Made some sand castles, walked in the water, looked for shells, avoided Great White Sharks… the whole nine yards.

Not exactly a water-boy, but he still enjoyed making and destroying castles.

Granny G and the Florida Gator made their own sand castle.

Nolan and Mom just relaxed in the sand...

Occasionally peaking out from his blanket, but only if the breeze wasn't coming in.  Not a fan of that.

The biggest, most obnoxious of the bunch.

Looking for shells in the surf.  The water is definitely a lot nicer here than it is up over the border in Georgia.

Dad and the boys hanging out in the warm water, even in October.  Gotta love Florida.

The first two weeks...

Well, Nolan is now two weeks old, and we’ll always be amazed at how fast time flies by.  Granny G came for a visit and was a huge help, as usual.  We went to Savannah, the beach multiple times, and back down to Jacksonville.  So already Nolan is following in his brothers’ footsteps and starting interstate travel!  Here are just a few pictures…

Nothing's better than the beach after dark!  Made more than a few trips out here already...

The boys got to go out to the Sea Turtle Center on Jekyll Island to check out the sick sea turtles that were being brought back to health.

Typical brothers.

Sometimes you're just glad Mom is there to hide behind...

Just hanging around like a couple of monkeys on St. Simon's Island.

And yes, Nolan was actually there too, though this is what he's normally doing.  He hasn't gotten to the "look at the camera and say cheese" stage yet.  Just give it time!

And when you do all this traveling, you gotta get cleaned up.  Had his first bath... this Georgia boy is living the good life!

Spaceship Attack!!

Nolan Matthew Sellers was born two days ago, on October 4, 2012 at about 3:35PM.  He came in a little smaller than his big brothers at 8lbs 3oz… but his mother didn’t complain about that.  All in all, it took about ten hours from the time we showed up to the hospital, and it was the easiest delivery we’ve seen yet!  He’s a healthy, quiet baby boy and was wide eyed only a few minutes after he showed up.  Now he starts a long, exciting journey of dealing with two noisy, sleep disrupting, overly active big brothers.  Wish him luck!

The first day! Already getting to spend some time with the big brothers who code named him "Spaceship Attack" and haven't yet been able to stop calling him that!

Another Baby Burrito, sleeping soundly on the warm blanket Aunt Amber made for him!

Mom did great, again.  Next time we'll just swing in one of those Now Care places at a mall or something, get in, have a baby, and be home in under an hour!

And he got to step out in the sun for a few minutes after we got him home.  Going to be a fun road ahead, so here we go!

Back to Jacksonville

The great thing about being down here is that Florida is not far away.  It’s been sort of a homecoming for us (and specifically for Paul, even though he obviously had no memories of it).  Jacksonville is just an hour away from us, so we’ve made the drive a couple of times already.  It’s been three years and a lot has changed, but most has stayed the same.  We hit the beach of course, and took a little trip downtown to the Riverwalk, where we used to push Paul in a stroller until he was able to run up and down it with that undying energy he’s always had.  We’ll have more pictures of Jacksonville up here I’m sure, but here are just a couple from the other day.

Adam made his first trip down the Riverwalk and to the Landing.  Not much going on downtown, though there never was much.  But the walk was nice, and the weather was everything you'd expect from Florida.

Downtown Jacksonville.  Still looking good, still feeling good.  It's great to be back, if just for a while.
