Turkey Day 2021

Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful, and to eat, a lot. We did it twice, with lunch at the Millers and dinner at the Unbehend's. There was plenty of turkey had by all and another wonderful family holiday!

Fall Time Activities

The boys have been busy, back in the swing of things with the school year and fall activities. Flag football came and went, as did Halloween. Paul has been busy most days with school stuff, including being on the Speech & Debate team which has taken him on travels around the state already. Otherwise, it's been a mild fall and start to winter.

A successful season!

He can argue with the best of them...

Enjoying the beautiful fall weather!

And the German Shepherd gets bigger by the day... and it takes a lot to wear him out.

Back to Halloween

Fall flew by right into winter, as it always does. The boys had another good Halloween, dressing up, getting candy and all that stuff. The candy doesn't last long around here of course, but it did last longer than the Jack-O-Lanterns. Apparently the overabundance of deer in the neighborhood enjoy fresh cut pumpkin, because they ate them all within a couple of days. Next year we'll just go with plastic ones...

Look close for the specter in the window...

It looks like the poor guy is still screaming from when they chewed his face off... I guess that's Halloween.

Pumpkin Season is Upon Us

It's October. That means all things pumpkins. Becky has a thing for pumpkins. They're everywhere, surrounding us, living amongst us. So of course she had to take the boys to get more. More pumpkins. We need more. Thankfully Three Forks has a pumpkin patch...

Please save us from these pumpkins...

The last single digit...

This kid turned the big NINE years old a week ago. It feels like he's been around forever, but nine years has been a fun ride. He's a feisty one, but more often than not the best behaved and the best listener. Teachers and other kids are always huge fans of him, as are all of us. He's a great student, a downhill skiing demon, a junk food eater, and a momma's boy for sure. We're forever blessed to have this one in our lives, so Happy Birthday to Nolan!

Nice, real nice...

Beautiful Biking, but Broken Bones...

We've tried to get out a few times on the bikes, and Adam has been the one enjoying it most... until the last trip unfortunately. It was a beautiful day on the mountain and definitely one of the best rides we'd taken. We started out in the woods and wound our way down the canyon before reaching Mount Sentinel and a great view of the city. The weather was perfect, the trail was awesome, and it was an otherwise fantastic day! Until the last 100 yards. Adam flipped off his bike and was thankfully saved by his helmet, but got a healthy dose of road rash and possibly a broken bone in his shoulder or elbow. It didn't look good, and probably felt worse. But he'll bounce back quick, and we have a feeling he'll be back out there again soon!

Took a ride up Blue Mountain a few weeks earlier and found this unique tree...

Some epic scenery in Pattee Canyon...

One bad bump at the end and that's the way it goes...
