Just a little behind... from April

To say I'm behind on my blog updates is a bit of an understatement. I'm not sure what happened, but I guess everything got busy in May and then summer hit us with vacations, work, and everything else. Either way, we never stopped taking photos. I'm pretty sure Becky took close to 14,000 over the course of the summer (only a slight exaggeration). So I'm going to do my best to post some of the best, but it's pretty incredible how fast time flies by. Here are photos from way back in April... the end of Cub Scouts last year, Adam's birthday, Windfest, and visitors from up north.

That's Dexter and Paul. Both of whom have gotten bigger, but only one annoys Becky by constantly digging up plants in the back yard. We're trying to get Paul to knock that off.

The big kid almost at the end of his Kindergarten school year, here at the Cub Scouts annual end of year event, Blue and Gold.

Paul moved up and passed on his blue shirt for the brown shirt of the Weebelos. Only two years of Cub Scouts left.

Adam turned the big 6 years old and got some cake on his face to prove it.

Then Brookie B came down for a visit for the second year in a row! Hopefully they make it a tradition.

The Windfest Parade, an annual event here in Portland.

And then there's Nolan, as always.

If you're coming to South Texas of course you've got to make it to the gulf and here at Port Aransas. The weather in April was fantastic for such things.

Easter Eggs and Fancy Clothes

It's become our tradition to go to the Fulton Mansion in Rockport for the annual Easter egg hunt, and the boys always have a fun time fighting for those candy filled eggs. It's also become a tradition for them to get dressed in their Easter best for one day of proper photo taking. I'm way late on posting these from back in March, but here's some of the fun they had:

Getting all the eggs... no matter how many small children he has to knock over.

Mr. Dimples.

The biggest Easter ham...

All smiles...

Some kind of wascally wabbit...

More than one Easter egg hunt... gotta get 'em all.

And of course coloring our own eggs...

Only slightly goofy...

Hunting for eggs like a bunch of bucket head zombies...

Ready for action... and we'll be back again next year probably!

Cousins from the East Coast

The boys' cousins Nick and Evelyn made their first trip to the Texas coast last week and we got to spend a few days hanging out, hitting the water, and having a great time. Nick enjoyed chasing after the older boys, splashing around in the gulf, and eating everything food-related in sight. Evelyn enjoyed... just about everything a baby can enjoy... and she was all smiles and wide eyes.

So awesome they could make it, and hopefully they'll make it back before long!

March isn't too early...

To hit the surf and the sand! It's been some beautiful days lately, with the sun shining and the water warming up. We went up the road to Rockport to splash around in the water... what could be better in March?

Peace out, bro! Sand tastes good!
