Summertime... Montana style

Becky and the boys spent a good amount of time under the Big Sky this summer, and anybody who has done that knows it's normally a great time. She took a lot of photos (too many, if that can really be a thing), and so here are just a few of the kids and cousins having fun in the sun...

Picnic lunch on a hot summer day!

Breakfast at the farmer's market.

Uh, something fishy going on in that tree...?

Here big brother, let me give you a drink...

Uh, thanks Nolan...

Just a little excited to get in the water...

Summer isn't complete without a trip to the DQ.

And after a hot day in the sun, there's only one way to clean off.

Quick Stop in Utah

We made a quick stop near the Great Salt Lake, first up in the mountains at the Utah Sellers home in Heber, and then to visit Uncle Andy and Aunt Theresa down in the valley. The kids had a blast at both, and it was good to seem them all, if only for a short time. Thanks to both for letting these boys invade your homes!

The Sellers kids...

Went "fishing" with Uncle Josh and Mason... though all we did was lose a few things and never actually saw any fish.

Hung out at the playground on a beautiful summer evening...

And this is how Paul ended up in the hospital.

And then there's Adam... yeah.

So it was fun had by all. Hopefully we'll get to go back and stay longer next time.

The long journey up...

Our summer journeys are now over, but not without a lot of photos taken in the process. There are an unreasonable amount of photos to go through, so I'll probably never get through them all to actually post them. But I'll do my best. Here are the first few, some of which have already been posted on Facebook. The long drive to Salt Lake City took us through most of the state of Texas that we hadn't seen before... not that there was a lot to see that wasn't open land. We made it to Amarillo by morning, up from San Anton... but everything that we had, wasn't just what we had on, but most of it seemed to be packed into our minivan. We stopped at the Cadillac Ranch, where they were parking cars in the old bean patch (not really, but that's what Chris Ladoux said), and then went up to Dinosaur National Park. Good drive, long drive, rememberable anyway...

The cars were looking pretty scrapped after all those years of being stripped for memorabilia. But the boys were able to grab a few cans of spray paint to add to the art.

Adam signed this one... I'm sure it will last.

The Sellers family was here!

Not a Spinosaurus, but still a monstrous meat eating dinosaur, and a grilled cheese eating monster as well.

Why does it seem like we've been here before?

 Oh yeah... maybe that's it.

The little boy grew up a lot since the last time.

In deep thought while examining the fossil wall.

Touching actual fossils!

Good trip, good fun, long drive, probably not the last one that these boys make though...

Fourth, Fireworks, Fun

The Fourth of July came and went again. We went to a barbecue, watched some fireworks, watched some interesting people at the beach, and even bought some cheap Made-in-China American Independence Day fireworks for ourselves. It's a good time of year, whether you're a kid or not a kid. But these kids had a good time.

Gotta wave the stars and stripes on Independence Day!
