Ready for Candy! Or Bananas...

The boys are locked and loaded for Halloween next weekend! Got the new costumes and buckets to fill… now they just need the candy. Though I doubt either one of them needs any chocolate or sugar to overload their systems. Especially the oldest one. Check them out:

Iron Man!! Or War Machine, or the Hulk, or Captain America… he changes who he is every other day, though now that he’s got the costume, he’s gonna have to stick with Iron Man.

Just a little snack time, and so much better than candy... right? Adam’s first Halloween is coming up, and we’re all excited for it!!

Time for Fall

Summer is long gone, and with it goes the hot, hot days... thankfully. The leaves have changed to shades of yellows and reds and are starting to fall in the yard. Over the next few weeks, Becky will be filling bag after bag of those things to be shipped off to some secret location where all leaves eventually go. I have no idea where that may be, but I'll bet there are a lot of leaves there, because there are a lot of trees around here. But while they're still here, the boys will enjoy them.


Not much of a pile going yet, but give it time and soon enough he'll be throwing himself in.

Of course, fall also means football season! Adam shows his love for the Griz... though technically he should be cheering on his home state Terps, but it's hard to take a team seriously when their mascot is a turtle.

And Paul even drug out the old bike for a nice ride in the crisp fall air. Getting a little better at operating this thing on his own. Won't be long before he's riding circles around us.

The Miller trip... last month

It's been a long while since we made a blog post, more than a month actually, so I figured it was about time to catch up. Last month my sister and the entire, ever-expanding Missouri Miller family came to visit along with my long lost parents from Montana. We probably walked a thousand miles, but they saw it all, or at least most of it all in downtown DC. Here are a few of the highlights.

So it was a great few days off while they were here, and hopefully they enjoyed their time in the nation's capitol. Paul definitely had an awesome time hanging out with his cousins. And hopefully it won't be another year before we see them again!

The Maryland State Fair

I wasn’t aware that there were so many types of Fairs… State Fairs, County Fairs, Town Fairs, World Fairs… who would have known?? Previously, I think I had only been to the world famous Western Montana Fair, and the Duval County Fair, so this was my first trip to a State Fair. It was basically the same thing. Same pigs, same cows, same sheep… all waiting to be sold and eaten. Same rednecks with the same accents and the same cowboy hats. But it was the same good time that only a fair can bring, and it had that same fair food smell that’s always so good. But no Tater Pigs. Oh well, I guess there’s only one place in the world to find those. Either way, we had a good time hanging out with Ted and Rachel up at the fairgrounds just north of Baltimore.


Paul did his best impression of Joey Logano (the driver of the #20 Home Depot car... for those of you non-NASCAR fanatics... and if you were the type that fit in perfectly at the fair, then you would have known that).

And Adam Michael had a good time in the heat, checking out the animals and watching his big brother ride the rides. Nothing beats a good day at the fair I suppose. But still, it would have been better had I had a sausage peeking out of the middle of a tater. Oh well, maybe next year!

Just out to La Plata

Becky's been trying to get out and take more pictures, since we've had Ted's car lately. The other day she took the boys down to La Plata, MD to some sort of train exhibit. Here are just a few pics of the boys, in case you've forgotten what they look like...
